Charlie and Lucy have been traveling and speaking since 1985, eight years after Charlie's diagnosis of ALS, a terminal illness which usually claims its victims' lives within three years. Although Charlie must be on 24-hour-a-day life support, his spirit is indomitable and he and Lucy travel all over the world speaking (with Lucy reading Charlie's lips) to share, often humorously, their moving story of hope, faith, and commitment.
