Coach Charlie Wedemeyer has battled ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's Disease) for over 20 years. He and his wife, Lucy, both longtime symbols of courage and commitment, have established the Charlie Wedemeyer Family Outreach. Five scholarship awards will be presented at Charlie Wedemeyer's Celebration of Hope.
What: Dinner + Scholarship Presentation + Silent & Live Auction + Entertainment

Why: Proceeds of this event will benefit the Charlie Wedemeyer Family Outreach. The mission of this 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization is to help ALS patients and their families by offering hope through raising funds for research & patient services, by raising awareness, and by way of example.
Awards: Students whose lives have been affected by ALS, and high school athletes who have overcome adversity, will each be awarded a $2,500 scholarship.
How: Please join the effort to make a difference in the lives of young people, and the lives of those dealing with the devastating disease, ALS. Become a sponsor or underwriter; contact corporations, businesses, personalities, and the public; join the Dinner Committee; donate time, funds, and supplies; and attend the event!
